Crail Golfing Society
Balcomie and Craighead Links
Taken from the beach below the clubhouse in early May 2015.
This view is looking south-east with the Fife Ness coastguard station in the distance.
Crail Golfing Society is one of the oldest golf clubs on the planet (to be exact the 7th ever) having been formed by the Gentlemen of Crail in 1786.
To put that in perspective, it was two years before both the death of Bonnie Prince Charlie and the election of George Washington as first US president.
Recent modifications to the clubhouse and the addition of Craighead Links in 1998 have made this one of the best golfing challenges and best value clubs to visit in the whole of Scotland.

This view was taken in softer light from the edge of the course to the west, towards Crail.
From the other side looking north-west over Craighead Links towards Kingsbarns and St Andrews
