Crail Golfing Society is one of the oldest golf clubs on the planet (to be exact the 7th ever) having been formed by the Gentlemen of Crail in 1786.
To put that in perspective, it was two years before both the death of Bonnie Prince Charlie and the election of George Washington as first US president.
Recent modifications to the clubhouse and the addition of Craighead Links in 1998 have resulted in reviewers naming this club as one of the best golfing challenges and best value clubs to visit in the whole of Scotland.
