The Hydrogen Office
Methil, East Fife, Scotland
The Hydrogen Office. That's not distortion - the roof really is that shape.
This building's power comes from various renewable energy systems and stores any excess power as hydrogen in the small building in the foreground.
There's also a wind turbine and a geo-thermal heat recovery system involved.
It also helps to heat the Fife Renewables building next door.
That roof really is an unusual shape, but isn't being used for solar panels.
It's quite interesting that these photos were taken from a kite
- the greenest aerial photography system there can be.
We're pleased to see that the world is finally catching up
with 197 aerial photography's low energy ideas...
