Strathaven, South Lanarkshire
The retirement home of Sir Harry Lauder.
The top three photos were taken in September 2014 to update the earlier photos still shown below.
Many people pass by this house every day without any idea that they're passing the home of the first knight of the theatre - Sir Harry Lauder.
As you can see the present owners have done sterling work with the grounds.
This panorama shows Lauder Ha' in relation to the town of Strathaven which is nestling in the valley behind the trees on the right of this photo.
The road running across the bottom is the A71 towards Darvel and Kilmarnock - Loudoun Hill etc - westwards to your left and the view is taken looking north-east.
From further to the west and a bit lower down.
Lauder Ha'? Quaint Scots for Lauder Hall.
The earlier views - on film - from 2006.
These were taken in early spring.
