Seafront area and esplanade - Ayr
The gardens, County Buildings and Pavilion, from the north-west.
In the foreground are the crazy golf, bouncy castles and the beach.
Further away is the Low Green.
Pirate Pete's amusement centre, previously Ayr Pavilion.
A children's play area, amusement rides, crazy golf and of course
a selection of ice creams, food and drink.
The play area, amusement rides, crazy golf etc.
Back in the day (cliché number 43) this was the location of rock concerts,
dances and the occasional well-planned punch-up.
Looking south from near the harbour.
The boat in the foreground can be seen better here:
Ayr India is at the south end of the Low Green.
Curries and cocktails. What's not to like?
All the way from the Low Green as far as Irish Law above Largs to the north.
The old fair on Ayr Low Green no longer takes place despite a strong local
campaign to revive it.
Also held here is the Scottish International Air Show, with the planes flying nearly
overhead but safely over the sea and it's a particular favourite.
