The People's Palace and Winter Gardens
Glasgow Green, Glasgow
A side-on view looking east of the People's Palace and Winter Gardens on Glasgow Green.
As you would expect this museum tells the history and life of the people of Glasgow from 1750 to recent times.
Opened in 1898 and just a short distance from the city centre this is a very popular place for tourists and locals alike.
For those of a botanic bent the Winter Gardens are a real delight with a wide range of exotic plants and a rather nice café - some of whose patrons are sitting outside enjoying the warm sunshine.
Zooming out into a wider view you can also see the restored Doulton Fountain in front of the Palace.
