This is the only remaining part of the old RAF airfield at Dundonald.
It's a hanger, as you can see, and is now on the edge of an industrial estate and forms part of a depot servicing roads and building work.
It was the home of 516 Combined Operations Squadron and was closed in 1944, before the end of the Second World War.
This is the hanger from ground level. As you can see, the doors on the front - which slid open and were supported by the frames left and right - have now been replaced.
This view is looking west and the main part of the airfield was in that direction, behind this hanger and to the right of the above photograph.
