Agnew Park
Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway
A boating pond, desert island, café and miniature railway all in one place
makes a really popular spot for the locals and tourists alike.
This was taken on a quiet Saturday morning before the park attractions opened
for the school holiday season.
The play area is near the café and extensive car park.
The island, when open, has a pirate ship for the children to play on.
The three main park buildings which include the Driftwood Café and
in the foreground the clubhouse of Stranraer St Ayles Skiff Project, essentially
an inshore rowing club. There are free toilets next to the café.
