These beasts are about a hundred feet high and are fabricated in steel tube and plate.
From a little further back and showing the River Carron to the north and, to the
right of both of these photos, the new extension to the Forth and Clyde canal.
The Kelpies mark the eastern end of the canal and are the main feature of
the new Helix Park, part of the Forth Valley re-generation project.
