Kilchurn Castle is on a promontory in the north of Loch Awe in Argyll and Bute, not far from Dalmally. Views of the castle from the north can be seen here: Kilchurn Castle north

There's a ground level view of the castle from the lay-by on the west side of the A810 just south of its junction with the A85 to the west of Dalmally.
