Kilchurn Castle - Loch Awe
in Argyllshire, from the west
The photographs on this page are looking westwards over Loch Awe. Behind the castle is the River Orchy flowing down from
Glen Orchy to the east.
The hill to the right is Stob Maol leading up to the peak of Beinn Eunaich and up the valley of the Allt Mhoille is
Beinn a’Chochuill, both of them being Munros.
A panorama from Loch Awe Village to the left right across to the castle.
The hill just above the loch is Monadh Driseig, the lower flank of Ben Cruachan which is the peak almost 2 miles away
to the left of the two on the horizon, alongside Stob Daimh which is a lot closer and to the right of this image.
Ben Cruachan - 3,695 feet and Beinn Stob Daimh - 3,274 feet
Loch Awe is about 125 feet above sea level
