The Pierhouse Hotel - Port Appin, Argyll & Bute

The Pierhouse Hotel, Port Appin, north of Oban, Argyll & Bute, Scotland

The Pierhouse Hotel has superb food, great views and first rate accommodation.

It's not, can we gently suggest, for those looking for a low-cost option.

It used to be the Pier Master's house and is right next to the water's edge, as the name suggests.

The hotel is right at the pierhead in Port Appin, by the Lismore ferry.

Port Appin is on the west coast of Scotland, a few miles north of Oban on Loch Linnhe, just off the coast road to Ballachulish and on the way to Castle Stalker.

Port Appin is a few miles north of Oban on Loch Linnhe.

The road into the village is a dead end. Ending here.

Looking southwards.

As you can see in the photographs there is ample parking for day visitors.
