Dunure harbour
South Ayrshire
Some newer views of the harbour at Dunure taken on what was,
frankly, a dull and drizzly day. However, these were all taken at the point of a
high spring tide, which was the plan regardless of weather.
This is looking south over the main section of the harbour.
A panorama widening the view to take in the village houses
along the top left and the castle at the top right.
The inner part of the harbour. You can see that there is
some new building on the left.
On the back wall of the harbour are these seahorses, made in
willow by an artist named David Powell, with the help of the local
community.
The seahorses are about five feet high.
