St Andrews Cathedral and Castle - Fife

These views were taken from over the beach by the harbour, which is itself
several feet (5 or 6 metres) below the ruins.
The castle is on the far right and can be seen closer up in the photo below.
In the foreground you can see the ruined outline of the church of St. Mary on
the Crag and the golf links are in the middle distance.

Now in the care of Historic Scotland the castle also has en excellent museum
The golf links are in the distance with the River Eden estuary behind and
Leuchars army base (and occasional RAF airfield) further away.
