The Cumbrae Ferry - and Waverley at Largs, North Ayrshire
The ferry terminal at Largs.
The two ferries to and from Cumbrae and the
P.S. Waverley tied up at the pier.
Neither of these ferries has an obvious bow or stern. They move and
operate freely in either direction.

As she leaves the slipway the car access ramp closes.
Both ferries also have side thrusters to help them manoeuvre
near to slipways, especially if dealing with tidal currents.
This is the smaller of the two ferries, the Loch Riddon.
The larger of the two ferries, The Loch Shira.
As she approaches the pier the bow ramp drops to allow road and foot
passengers to reach shore.
