Covenanter Monument and Farm - Lochgoin, East Ayrshire
Lochgoin farm and monument to John Howie in one frame.
The monument is to John Howie, the author of a book about Covenanters
called “ The Scots Worthies” published around 1778(?) and still in print.
The farm has a small museum to Covenanters, open by appointment.
The farm alone.
To reach this spot you need to look in the southern edge of the
Whitelee Moor wind farm. The access road is off the B764 about
2 miles (3.2km) east of the M77 J6.
From almost directly overhead.
Covenanter services (Conventicles) are occasionally held here.
