Old Castle Lachlan, Argyll - Strachur, Argyll & Bute

Loch Fyne Castle Lachlan, Argyll & Bute, Scotland

Looking west towards the castle on a wet and misty day in April.

This is Old Castle Lachlan, not to be confused with the new version, nearby.

The castle is currently undergoing a renovation process and is a really interesting place to visit.

The Inver restaurant nearby can be seen here: Inver Restaurant

From further back.

Minard is over on the western shore of Loch Fyne.

To reach here - the east bank of Loch Fyne - you travel south from Strachur on the A886 then the B8000 or alternatively north from Portavadie.

A lovely area but pease note that the roads are mostly single track with passing places.

All of these photos were taken around low tide.
